1. Information we collect

Account information: name, email address, phone number, and password when you create an account.
Student and family information: names, contact details, grade levels, learning goals, schedules, and any other information tutors or parents enter to provide tutoring services.
Usage data: logins, page views, feature usage, and device/browser information to help us operate and improve the platform.
Communications: messages sent through the platform, support requests, and notification preferences.

2. How we use your information

To provide, maintain, and improve Tutor Track.
To deliver notifications you request, including email and SMS reminders, booking alerts, and announcement broadcasts.
To process support requests and respond to inquiries.
To enforce our Terms of Service and protect the security of the platform.

3. Sharing and selling data

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share information with third parties for marketing purposes. We only share data with service providers necessary to operate Tutor Track (for example, hosting, email delivery, and SMS providers), and only under strict confidentiality obligations.

4. SMS / text messaging

Mobile information is never shared or sold for marketing.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers collected for SMS notifications are used solely to deliver the messages you opt into. Information sharing with subcontractors for support services, such as our SMS delivery provider, is permitted only to carry out that delivery. All other use, sharing, or sale of mobile opt-in data is excluded.

Text messages are only sent after you provide express consent by checking the SMS consent box in your notification settings, or by texting a keyword such as JOIN to our number.
Messages may include session confirmations, schedule updates, homework reminders, booking requests, application alerts, and announcements from your tutor.
Message frequency varies based on your account activity and notification preferences.
Message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless carrier and plan.
Reply STOP at any time to opt out of text messages, or HELP for help. You can also change or disable SMS in your notification settings.

5. Your choices and rights

Update account information and notification preferences in your account settings.
Request deletion of your account and associated data through your account settings or by contacting support.
Parents and tutors can delete student records from within the platform; deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

6. Data security

We use industry-standard security practices, including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level isolation between organizations. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's privacy

Tutor Track is intended for use by tutors and parents. Student profiles are created and managed by adults with appropriate accounts. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account without appropriate consent, please contact us.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated date.
